The pokemon world has gone through quite a few changes since we last checked in on it.
After a young man by the name of Ash Ketchem become the pokemon champion over every known region of the world it became vastly popular to become a trainer. This caused a very large amount of trainers who had no respect or knowledge of pokemon to appear, not to mention those who were cruel and torturous to our friends the pokemon. It was decided then that academies would be set-up to train and monitor those wishing to work with Pokemon. Only upon graduation are people granted a PokeLicense to work with pokemon.

Course descriptions

Introduction to Pokemon Basics*F:

The coursework include learning to understand the basic structure of battling and the use of items. The course will also instruct you on how to treat your pokemon and take care of them.

Physical Endurance Training (P.E.T)*F:

This course includes training your pokemon's physical attributes and attacks. It is conducted on the Academy grounds where quite a few different obstacle courses will be at your disposal.

Pokemon Technology Instruction*F*/:

This class will teach you to use things such as pokeballs, Poketches, and pokedex's.

Advanced Battling:

Students taking this class are interested in becoming Champions and Gym leaders. This course will teach you the finer points of battling pokemon. Including double battling and pokemon abilities. Strategies discussions will be held during this class as well.

Contest Participation:

This class is for all those future Coordinators. You'll learn how to perform on stage, combinations, and showmanship.

Breeder Preparation:

All you Breeders in training will want to take this class. Pokemon care, grooming, first-aid, and dietary traits will be your curriculum in this course.

Physical Description: Julius Has grayish purple hair that comes just to the middle of his hazel colored eyes. He wears his school uniform even when he doesn't have to. He's a bit lanky in his build but while he's been training with Dratini he's been building a bit of muscle.

Personality: Julius likes to pick on his younger brother a little bit, but overall cares about him a lot. He studies almost to a fault, but still can recognize a good joke. He's serious possibly to a fault though.

Hometown: Pallet

Bio:Julius has always been expected to be the good role model for his younger brother. From the time he first accompanied his father on one of his journeys, Julius knew he had to spend his life involved with Pokemon.Although Julius would of joined and been accepted to the academy years earlier his father asked him specifically to wait for his younger brother to be able to start with him. In exchange for his patience his father let him care for an egg that had been entrusted to his Great-Grandfather Professor Oak. Julius took great joy in caring for the egg and treated as if it were already a pokemon. The night before his acceptance letter came the egg hatched revealing Julius' starting pokemon...Dratini

Personality: Harrison usually turns to his brother with all of his problems. He's sort of a crybaby that never faces anything head on, and prefers to watch rather than confront.

Hometown: Pallet Town

Bio: Harrison lives with his mother and his brother Julius. He spends most of his time following Julius trying to copy every one of his moves. He has yet to prove himself to be an individual, but he hopes to change that by entering the academy.

Goals: To become the #1 Breeder of all-time.

I like the premise of this RP so I'll try it out.

Name: Jed Pirac

Age: 14

Gender: Male

Physical Description: A somewhat tall guy with a wide build. Olive skinned with wild curly brown hair. His default demeanor is rather calm and expressionless. Carries a pocket watch and is almost always wearing large headphones.

Personality: Extremely social but somewhat standoffish, he's very direct with others and often comes off as antagonistic and invasive with his questions and comments despite ony wanting to understand those around him as much as possible. He approaches most things in a nonchalant manner, but is quite passionate about his Ralts and those he finds interesting. Due to his unusual way of dealing with people, his true intentions and feelings tend to be rather obscure.

Hometown: Goldenrod City (Johto Region)

Bio: Born and raised mostly in Goldenrod, his parents were seperated when he was young and he's lived with his father since he was about 8 years old. However his father was usually busy at work so he was often left to his own devices. His father on his 12th birthday gave him a poke-egg, and from that egg hatched a Ralts. He applies for the Academy after deciding to understand and sync with his Ralts as much as possible.

Goals: To become fully synced with his Ralts

Name: Brendan

Age: 14

Gender: Male

Physical Description: Brendan's hair is a snowy-white in color, and is almost always spiked up in some way or another. He bears either a red and black or green and white head-band with a pokeball print upon it. He wears a white t-shirt, beneath a black vest with golden "V-shaped" crest across the front, and a pair of old jeans that are starting to fall apart. He also wears a rather large blue jacket during the winter seasons, a hand-me-down from his older brother.

Personality: Brendan, in general, is quite upbeat, and trusts others to the point of being naive at times. He cares alot about other living creatures, and I suppose thinks that everyone else does as well. His Personality does a 180 when he sees someone mistreating another living being (whether it be human or pokemon), however.

Hometown: Littleroot (Hoenn)

Bio: Brendan is the youngest son of Professor Birch, the Pokemon Professor of the Hoenn Region. He was born three years after his elder brother, Lucas, and from an early age seemed to easily bond with other living organisms, as was proven when he stopped a raging Treeko from attacking his father at Age 5.

As Brendan grew, so did that ability to bond with other creatures in short amounts of time. As the seasons came and went, Brendan found himself saying goodbye to his older brother, as Lucas left on his own Journey, to the Sinnoh Region, leaving Brendan to help with his father's work.

He dislikes the technical aspect of Studying Pokemon, and much like his father, would much rather do Field Work than be cooped up in a laboratory... which is why Birch filed an application for his son to be enrolled in a Trainer's Academy, to better prepare him for the world he was about to face.

Goals: He is unsure of his goals currently, but he has interest in Opening a Gym or becoming Successor to his Father's Work

Gender: female

Physical Description: Pic ref : She has shoulder length blond hair, with the tips black. Her eyes are a mix of blue and green, so they give off almost a hazel look. She is slightly slender, though she still can hold her ground. She does have a dusk stone hanging around her neck as well.

Personality: She is a silent but sweet girl, but push her over the line and she becomes a whole new person.

Hometown: Hearthome city

Bio: Linyah has been surrounded by pokemon since she was five years old. Her mother use to raise pokemon with hope that Linyah would do the same. Though she enjoyed playing with the pokemon and helping her mother, Linyah had other choices in mind.

When Linyah was 7, her mother took her to see a contest for the first time. The excitement of seeing the trainers show their pokemon, and the beauty of the moves had Linyah standing on the tip of her toes with excitement. She had never seen anything like this before in her life. Though what changed her mind on contest was what happen when she was watching the pokemon league on the tv.

Linyah had watched an old re-run from the battle frontier with the famous Ash Ketchem. Linyah sat there for hours watching how ash battled, how he raised his pokemon. Her heart was beating with excitement as she finally decides on what she wanted to be.

With this excitement, Linyah wanted to go to the new pokemon academy right away! Her mother refused to let her own daughter go at the age of 8. Her mother stated that her daughter needed to learn to be more responsible with pokemon, and to be a little bit more mature before she can go to the academy. Linyah and her mother both agreed, when she was to turn 15, her mother would entrust her with her first pokemon and send her to the academy.

On her 15th birthday, Linyah received her first pokemon, a male evee that she named Yami. From there her mother told her that she will be going to the new pokemon Academy to train in what she wants to become.

Goals: She hopes to be a pokemon trainer

Personality: Runa is usually sweet and caring towards people and Pokemon. If she dislikes someone (and she rarely does), she will act in a cool, polite way around them. During battle, she becomes silent and calculating.

Hometown: Twinleaf Town (Sinnoh)

Bio: Runa lived with her parents, Peter and April, and younger brother, Owen, in Twinleaf Town in the Sinnoh region.

While she lived at home, Runa enjoyed playing games with her brother and helping her parents raise SkyCaptain and Starx, the two Starly that hatched from the eggs of Peter and April's Staraptor. The family occasionally visited Runa's grandparents. When Runa learned she was accepted into the Pokemon Academy, she was very excited.

Goals: Runa wants to be a great breeder. She likes to battle Pokemon, as well. Runa thinks that if she can improve her breeding skills, she can also improve her battling skills. As for her future, she wants to either open a business as a breeder or become a Gym Leader.

His name is Alexander Rave. He's 29.

Fusia City was Alex's home town and the gym leader Koga was always something to aspire too. As a child Alex enjoyed the Safari and Pokemon fascinated him. When he turned 12 he decided to go on his own Pokemon adventure to become a Pokemon Master and explore the world. After three years he had gained enough badges to be eligible to the Kanto region Tournament (I forgot what they called it :/). He was able to place in the top 32. He continued his adventures and explored the Johto region soon after. His reasoning was to visit his family, but soon got caught up in gaining all the badges of the region as well. That following year he reentered the Pokemon League Challenge. This year he placed top 8 and decided to take time off and return home.

Upon returning his idol, Koga had became an Elite Four member, and his daughter became the Gym Leader. After spending 5 years furthering his education and helping his family he decided it was time to explore the world once again. He had just missed the Pokemon tournament however. On his adventures he met a man who was, simply a genius. His name was Bill. They quickly became friends as Alex's first Pokemon was an Eevee. He spent a few months helping Bill until his Mother fell ill. When he returned to his home in Fusia he spent another two years taking care of his mother before she passed away. During this time he befriended Koga's daughter Janine. They had spent some time together and after his mother's passing Janine decided to go and find a place out from under her father's shadow. With the Fusia City Gym being closed down Alex instead took up the mantle of Gym Leader of the Fusia City Gym.

Alex had also became friends with another, Lance. Alex had actually met Lance while out searching for a Dratini to raise to Dragonite during his first summer as a gym leader. It was Lance who officially recognized Alex's gym as a tournament sanctioned gym.

After some restructuring and time, Alex's gym become known as one of the toughest gyms in Kanto, and even neighboring regions recognized his skill. Although he regularly faced defeat by truly amazing people, most of them had to spend weeks in town studying in a way to beat Alex. Unlike a lot of the world's gym leaders, Alex used a very well rounded Pokemon team. During the four years he was a gym leader his friendship with Bill had stayed, even though they lived across the region from each other.

When the Pokemon Academy idea was founded, he had been contacted by the people involved in it's conception about possibly becoming a teacher there. He was reluctant to leave his gym, but he had a small group of pupils who had trained under him and he had chosen a local girl who he remembered from his childhood who grew to be quit a spectacular trainer. This will be his second year being a Professor at the Academy, and he had become quite popular as one of the "it" teachers.

Although a lot of students ask to be a part of Alex's class, he had kept his class size to a select few students to keep the homogenization of the education to a minimum.

AnP: Alex has short unkept blond hair and blue eyes. He is a warm and kind person who is always willing to help another without expecting anything in return. He usually wears blue jeans, a black or light blue tee, and a white lab coat. When he's not teaching class, he's out exploring the wilderness, sometimes with his classmates to give them hands on experience. He never turns down a challenge from another trainer.

Also, with Stratus' permission I created a move. It has 60 power, dark type, and it's special properties is it always hits and always goes first. It's called Dark Slate, and it's effect is much like combining Agility and Headbutt. His Umbreon uses the move and it creates a gray trail when used. Also, unlike Agility it is a somewhat ariel attack. Imagine being in a room. now have Umbreon use the ceiling and walls jumping off them, it's like that, but it's just air.

Name: Viviana Mace

Age: 22

Gender: Female

Physical Description: This...just without the hammer

Personality:
Viviana is a very intelligent person. Not book-smart, but in terms of understanding pokemon, she succeeds with rather well.
Young and with constant energy to burn, you'll rarely find Viviana without a smile to her face. Whether it be a tender one, a competitive one or simply an amused one, she has been told countless times that her smiles are exhilarating.
Although she doesn't often show it, Viviana is a very competitive person. She's not a sour loser, she can easily accept defeat, but she adores the thrill of a competition.
Viviana has much respect for pokemon, which is why she took on breeding.

Hometown: Celadon

Bio: Viviana lived in the city with both her parents, who she deeply loves, and a single pokemon: Tyrogue. The violet pokemon had been with the family for ages, before she was born even. Helping around house, bringing the child out of boredom and fighting off minor trespassers were his specialities. As she grew up Viviana grew more and more attached to the pokemon, in the end treating him almost as a brother.

Her experiences with him were her first experiences in pokemon breeding. What pokemon ate and how to take care of them were tought to her by her parents.

At age 14, her parents agreed to let her go ahead with exploring the lands, but on one condition: She'd take Tyrogue with her, the only living thing they trusted enough to protect Viviana. The teen agreed without hesitation, it was win-win.
Although she knew contests were what she wanted to do, she also knew Tyrogue wasn't the type of pokemon for that. A sentret was the first wild pokemon she came across. She caught it with ease and began training it to compete in contests.

Obviously, she didn't manage to gain any prizes for the first few years. She won her first contest at the age of 17. Actually, it's one of the few she won. Although she was great in the first part of the contest, the part in which the pokemon appeals to the judges, she always had difficulties in the battle round. For this reason, she only attended, and lost easily, the Grand Festival once.

When she heard of the academy, she thought it'd be a nice opportunity to share what she knew about pokemon, how to treat and take care of them. It was obvious her contest career was going nowhere, anyway.

Personality: Cocky and over confident. He beleives that he can't be beaten even though he never even battled. He enjoys making friends but his personality can sometme wear on people andhe knows it. If people bring it up to him he tries to tone it down but it's hard for him.

Hometown: Lavaridge

Bio: Zach grew up for the most part in Lavaridge. While living there he became friends with the local gy leader and her pokemon and became a big fan of fire pokemon, but when he was 13 his parents felt he needed a change of scenery. So they moved to Snowpoint City of all places, but before they left Flannery gave him an egg.

He would have applied to the acadmey sooner but what with living so far away it took him a while to learn of it.

Goals: Zach wants to be the greatest gym leader ever.

Name: Patrick "Pat" Hiroshi

Age: 10

Gender: Male

Physical Description: Pat looks a lot like his father, Richie(Reference). He has the same style and color of hair but, he has his mother's green eyes and wears glasses. He is about 4'6. He wears blue jeans and a red T-Shirt in the summer and during off time at school. In the fall and winter, he just wears a light green jacket over his shirt. He wears black sneakers and white socks. He also wears a red baseball-style hat.

Personality: Pat will never let up when fighting. He loves his Vulpix and he will do anything to protect her. He easily makes friends and rivals, and he is a caring person at heart even if he seems harsh at first. He isn't afraid to speak his mind.

Hometown: Cinnabar Island

Bio: Patrick is Richie's only son. He was born 5 years after his sister, Lyanne. Pat bonded with Sparky, Richie's Pikachu, at the age of 5. He also saw a Gym battle on TV and an interview with Brock. He also visited Blaine and watched him battle in person. After watching two completely different Gym battles, Pat decided that he wanted to be a Gym Leader when he grew up. At the age of 6, he wanted wanted to be a Gym Leader and go to the Pokemon Academy but Richie wouldn't let him go because he was too young. Richie said that he would have to wait until he has his own Pokemon. For his tenth birthday, Richie gave Pat a Pokemon Egg. The egg hatched into a Vulpix during the same day.

Richie enrolled Pat in the Pokemon Academy and got the acceptance letter 1 weeks later. Richie then took Pat and Vulpix to the Pokemon Academy in person to make sure that they had a safe trip.

Goals: To be a Gym Leader

Gender: female

Physical Description: She has a perfect figure fit for a model. when she isn't at the scool or for school function as on break or such, she wears a mini skirt that comes just a little above the knees and a white tank top with a black and purle hoodie jacket. Her mini-skirt is black with a purple emboriory(sp?). She wears a hair cut that covers her right eye, which both eyes have a blazing gold shade to them, Her hair is silky soft looking that glows with a firey, passionate red.

Personality: Ariana has a shy personaility that has it's extrovert moments when she things that someone who's not her is being judge harshly or needs help. She however takes no choice to take up for herself unless absolutly needed.

Hometown: Dewford town.

Bio: Ariana Constantly watch pokemon battles on T.V. at a young age of 4 and at the age of 6 began to watch Pokemon contest where she asirped her dream of becoming the best in both area's, but later decided to stick with trainer in her normal everyday classes.

Ariana was also picked on at school and never had any friends that were girls so she never learned she had a choice to stick up for herself, but surprisingly she learn to stick up for other people. She begged her father and mother who were old and elder if she could join the academy which after non-stop bugging agreed. Her father, as a registered trainer, went to catch her a Ralts, which she later used to apply at the Academy.


Goals: To be a top coordinator and trainer, but more over to be a trainer

Starter: Ralts ~Personaility: shy~(it was the only one I could think of to fit her seeing as it sycs with it's trainer.)

It's not a game, but it's still probably going to be referenced for balance between Pokemon (note I listed my Pokemon's level and abilities).

It's basically just a regular trainer card with a few tweaks (Contact Info will be filled up later, once the school year starts). Opinions? I haven't decided yet, but if anyone wants one, I may or may not be willing to make them one, if they supply me with the sprite for their character.

Name: Emily Boggs

Age: 10

Gender: Female

Physical Description: Emily is a short girl, with long blond hair and blue eyes. She normally wears a plain dress, with fake Eevee ears and a tail. She still wears the ears and tail with her uniform. She also had a collar with a bell, but she ditched it when it started making too much noise during class.

Personality: A kind-hearted soul, Kitty is a bit childish. She's a skilled trainer-in-training though, and rather smart in the field of Pokemon.

Hometown: Vermilion City

Bio: Emily's parents are normal, ordinary people, but her aunt on her mother's side is Jasmine, the leader of the Olivine City gym. Emily was born unexpectedly on the S.S. Aqua, on a return trip from Olivine City, where her parents were visiting her.

Once they returned to port in Vermilion City, she and her mother were immediately taken to the hospital, where Emily was declared to be a perfectly healthy baby. Her good health continued as she grew, and it wasn't until she was four years old that she returned to Olivine city to visit her aunt.

It was on that trip that she developed an interest in Pokemon. While her mother was a scientist and her father was a bookworm, she immediately took a shine to training Pokemon. At one point she even tried to command her aunt's Steelix, with rather humorous results.

She visited her aunt many more times throughout her life. One day, on her 11th birthday, Jasmine visited her to attend her birthday party. On that day (after talking it over with her parents of course), Jasmine gave Emily her very first Pokemon, an electric-type Pokemon named Shinx. The very next day, she applied to the Pokemon Academy, to which she was eventually accepted.

Goals: Wants to become an advanced Pokemon trainer, and eventually the Pokemon champion.

Sorry this took so long...I had a paper due yesterday. ;~; It's ok if I'm not accepted. I had a lot of fun making my character.

Name: Zija or Zi

Age: 20

Gender: Female

Physical Description: Zija has reddish cinnamon colored-skin. Measuring a little over 5 feet tall, she is small but packs a punch. Her messy hair is usually left as is; she doesn't make an attempt to fuss with it. Her clothing is colorful and flamboyant.

Personality: Although she dresses flashy, Zija is not conceited. She is enthusiastic, easily excitable, high-spirited and kind. She is very patient with her students.

Hometown: Fortree City

Bio: Her life so far has been privileged and free of major tragedy. Her mother first introduced Zija to shows at a young age. She received her first Pokemon, Skitty, as a gift from her mother after winning her first contest. Zija and her Skitty have won about 25 contests together at all different levels.

Goals: To spread knowledge and enthusiasm for Pokemon shows! She intends to teach her students how to create a well-rounded team, how to mix Pokeblocks and what moves to use to wow the judges.

Pokemon:

Zaji trains and shows colorful Pokemon. She makes an attempt to have a well-rounded team for both battling and shows.

I just wanted to announce to everybody to please refrain from posting in the RP thread. Stratus and I haven't been in contact lately, and I believe that the number of people that have applied for this RP is a bit too overwhelming.

I appreciate your enthusiasm, however I believe a few people might need to be cut. Sorry. This many people would make this RP way too hard to control.

Well, since there is kinda a divide over people who want to be Trainers, and those who want to be coordinators... I do agree there is a lot, but the Friday deadline should weed out some people.

Edit: Photon, as far as I can see, Stratus did almost all the work involving this RP. I do believe he has the right to install such a rule without consulting you. What have you done, so far? Criticized a few templates and such?

Name: Trent Roxist

Age: 13

Gender: Male

Physical Description: Trent is tall with messy auburn hair. His eyes a grey-blue mix. He's fairly thin, and has little to no muscle to add to his figure. His clothing style normally extends no further than plain tee-shirts and jeans or shorts.

Personality: He's a fairly chill kind of guy. He goes out of his way to avoid conflict and hates when it makes it's way to him. He's also quite chipper for the most part.

Hometown: Blackthorn City

Bio: Growing up in a town inhabited by a gym leader who uses strictly dragon Pokemon Trent aspired to himself have a dragon type as his starter. He craved a Bagon as his first partner, so when His parents surprised him with a shiny Trapinch he despised it; afterall it was only a mere ground type Pokemon. After doing some research he felt at ease knowing his Trapinch would evolve and gain a Dragon duel type, thus becoming more accepting of it. With time he even started to admire his partner for ground type, making him overall more effective.

He's a little unskilled for the time being with his partner, having studied mainly dragon-based strategies -- considering them to be the most superior -- still he's learning.

As of currently Trent is being forced to remain in Blockthorn City due to an invasion by Team Rocket. Apparently the high concentration of rare, dragon-type Pokemon in the area is highly appealing to them. Also spotted has been a rare shiny Trapinch.

Goals: Mastering different strategies for the many types of Pokemon.

What's with the numbers next to our names? I mean, I get that the M and F mean Male and Female, but what's with the numbers?

If I were to speak directly to Amoss, I would need the swearing ban to get my point across or it would just be full of censors.
