Beta is currently out and it'll only be a couple of more months until the game is released (early 2012).

How many people here are going to play?

Currently, I'm in beta. I'm not really amazed or anything, but I still want the game. I'm even thinking about getting the collector's edition.

I also think there is a lot of work and depth to the game which will be worth the $60. There's interesting new game designs that I'm really interested in... like the instant party system, latency work-arounds, pvp, real money auction house, but most of all, what the hell took them 10 years to make? If this game becomes something bigger than WoW, i'd like to be a part of it...

Beta, I'm not quite amazed like I said. The graphics are great and all, but theres so many little stuff that doesn't glue together... like improper lighting, bad physics engine, bad model animations, bad controls, and much more things I'm unsatisfied but can't remember off hand.

for example, the controls are almost like diablo 2, but I've realized now that the left click has overlapping controls in movement and attacking, which makes it confusing.

Anyways, I really want to make a video exploring all these in more detail, but I havn't been playing D3 much lately. It'd also be nice to hear some people's thoughts about the game too.

The game is a week from release, another game I'll get once I can afford it, but here is a cool animated video that was released: http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/08/diablo-3...d-and-titmouse/

I might get it, but I'm more interested in Torchlight 2 to be honest. Diablo 3 looks pretty but it's kind of expensive, and I'm not really sure if I'm in love into the design of it yet. Also it's a big name franchise with different developers than the original games that made them famous.

I'll be getting the CE if I can. Apparently, all online shops have them sold out. Amazon has reselling prices at 200+... now way.

Hope I can get one in store or something. $100 is a lot, well... not as much as a couple of years ago. But this is a farming game. You have to spend hours and hours so for the time I'm spending on it, no it's not that much. And if I decide not to, I can just resell my CE(if I get one) for $200 or sell my items for real money. lol

Also, this game has been in development for a very long time. I expect it to be thoroughly planned. I've been keeping tabs on the design for a while and so far all their decisions were carefully decided to make the best gameplay.

Really pumped for this game, but makes me sad that my time is going into computer games. I don't play video games much because I don't like today's games. All graphics, bad gameplay, crappy design, drag to play. The only games I actually payed for in my life were sc1, sc2, diablo I, II. Quality games are worth my money. I was pretty uch gameblocked by the n64 price back then, and only look out for whats worth it. This game will be great VIP.gif

Grabbing it at midnight from GameStop. Had a bunch of trades to make, and it's the only item not cheaper online (actually, everything is cheaper online because of Arizona sales tax, but I have to buy something with my trades). I am pretty excited, some of my former roommates are getting it right away too; should be good.

Anyone who does get it should add me on BNet. My email is Zenthazar@hotmail.com I still play SC2 often and will eventually get the game.
