Lixyl
I looked quickly and couldn't find a thread like this, sooooooo 8D

Why did you choose your username?

Personally, it's from an RP that R/C made. The character's name was Lily, but we had to rearrange the letters and add an X to it, for the KH themed RP. Lixyl was given life.

...

So yes, my username originates from a female name.

YOUR TURN!
Loki
I always knew you had a hint of gayness.

For me... I like names with "L" because my last name starts with "L." My neopets username was Lavian.

Short for Leviathan.
Which is of Norse Mythology.

Came up with Loki from the Norse Mythology. If anybody seen "Journey to the West," Sun Wu Kong was a character I liked when I was growing up. He is the eastern counterpart of the Loki character presented in the Norse Mythology. Both are kings of mischief. Though one is portrayed like a child and the other is a master manipulator... both are cool. That thought prompted me to create Loki.
Maelstrom
I think I've always stuck with this name since X-Evo.
... I've heard some of my friends call me a DotA fanatic for using the name, but it doesn't come from there.
I've never even touched DotA!
I don't really remember, so if anyone remembers, tell me!
Pets
I feel like a thread like this existed in the old Sparkbomb, before the reset...

Anyway, I chose "Pets" because I really like animals. This name is a shortened version of my (old) Neopets username, "pets4ever100." I think "Pets" is short and sweet, so it stuck.

That said, I remember that because of my username, I would get confused when people talked about the old Sparkbomb pets or myself...especially if the "P" was capitalized.
Kirby-oh
When I was 10, I signed up on the defunct PokemonAaah! forums for making fake Pokemon cards for fun. I signed up as "Kirby" and was accosted by the member Wubba for taking the name of his god. (Yes, this man pretended to worship Kirby.) So I added -oh as a reference to Yu-Gi-Oh, which I enjoyed at the time. It has stuck since then.
Pernicious
'Cause it's my name.

Though a very very very very long time ago when I was first at Sparkbomb, before I got my username changed to Chloe, it was uslibra. Uslibra was my Neopets name that I made when I was maybe...13...14? From USA + Libra, libra being my zodiac sign BTongue05.png
LordRosiel
I am obsessed with the manga/anime Angel Sanctuary.

One of the angels in Angel Sanctuary is called Lord Rosiel. He's rather feminine looking, evil, and has a tendency to ask, "Am I beautiful?" every chance he gets, but I just love him.

Therefore I chose his name as my username. ^^

Picture of Lord Rosiel:

Red
I liked wolves.

I felt Red was good color (presumably because of blood of wolf's prey?)

I got Redwolves on IDB. Then it carried over here. Then.. some time ago I got it changed to Red as I felt the wolves wasn't.. characteristic of me anymore.
Nebiros
I'm not... quite sure.
I came up with it as I wanted a change from using Spyro (...its my favorite game series.) all the time.
Then I found out its the name of a demon in a comic book, haha.
LBZ
I was final fantasy obsessed when Zen made me create an account on here. [most people can prolly remember my first post, some really annoying BS that had random caps strewn through it spelling 'i am being forced to type this']

So, final fantasy gave me Bahamut Zero.

I was also a medieval buff, and was 'lord' whatever for most of my names back then. Thus, "Lord Bahamut-Zero"
came into creation. After awhile I didn't like it, but there was already a Phoenix on SB when I grew tired of it [Exile] and then there was the usergroup, not to mention i already had a reputation for being stupid and inconsequential [which lets me live through most WW games, so I'm not about to come out as intelligent to anyone <_<]

When SB crashed, and Zen made me make another account I created my account again, LBZ was easier to type, less pointless, and people still knew who I was because it was how I was referred to as back in the old SB.
Shattered Rift
My story's a fun one. Before Freshman year of high school, a friend made a DnD-style forum called Quailon (could be spelling it wrong, and Quailon was the world it was set in). Naturally, that guy had no business running a forum (nor did his Staff, who were all real life friends as well). Naturally, not realizing it was DnD-based, I played around with the system and created Shattered Rift as a similar community (once his was dead). He wasn't particularly happy about that even though his community had no chance of getting back on its feet (if it ever had been). The Shattered Rift community never went anywhere, but I started using it as my username. This was back in fall of '03, I think.

Yeah, we've definitely had this thread at some point before.

::.Chuckles.:: Ah, the confusion is always good.

And that's why you have one of the coolest usernames ever. Kirby-ooooooooooooooh!

A guy who worshipped Kirby, eh? ::.Gets ideas.::

If three and a half years ago counts as a very very very very long time ago, I'd hate to think how many verys you include when going further back. ... and did you really first register as uslibra? I remember that being your Neo username, but I don't remember you using it here at all. You would have had to have asked me to change it almost immediately.

And this is why you're supposed to still be a werewolf.
Red
Note, Rift, I am not meant to be a werewolf anymore. That much is clear to Red.

"as I felt the wolves wasn't... characteristic of me anymore"

Beyond that.. I'm a bit amused that I chose Phoenix, since in Old Sparkbomb, I had -always- complained that I wanted to be a Spectre...

I still wonder. "RedEthereals", "RedAgent"

xD
Yoshi
I chose yoshi4007 as my neopets name when I signed up for it for the second time - either winter '99 or winter '00. I had joined 6 months before that but got bored after a few days and forgot my username (although I still remember the password to that account today, lol).
I think that was before I got a N64, which means I was still playing Super Mario World on my SENS. At any rate, Yoshi was - and still is - an awesome video game character.

I signed up on forums like ppt, idb, and their spin-offs (like Sparkbomb) under the same username. Eventually, it got shortened to Yoshi. (Although, I am still yoshi4007 at iDB; I think yoshidude65 stole my shortened name there.)
Firon
Final fantasy II

Firion is my favorite all time character in the series. but me being who I was at the time. (terrible terrible worst then I'll ever be now at grammar.) I spelled firon, not even capitalized. Then we had the LR rp. (before that I never rped.... it just looked fun so I tried it.) and Yukaru came out of my wildfire imagination. when we had our database deleted by a hacker. I Finally capitalized it. and then Firon is my account everywhere. Fironyukaru, Firon yukaru, Firon, or something close to that. never any numbers. it's not used like that anywhere on the internet except by me.
Zen
My name comes from playing Warcraft 3 for the first time and being blown away by it's awesomeness. there was a Necromancer in there named Kel'Thazad. I liked that name a lot, so when I made a BNet account, I called it (short for Frozen) 'ZenThazar. Later on I added a bunch of DnD lore to it. Later on I dicided that I did not want him to be a Lich, but an Artifact that merged the soul of the Staff, with the wielder, and all wielders before it, much like the Lich King's helm in WC3: The Frozen throne (though I decided this before TFT came out). 'ZenThazar's whole purpose as an artifact is to learn everything and is many thousands of years old.

As for the name Zen... When me and Rift were hanging out he finally convinced me to get on the computer and join this online thing he was in charge of (which back then I never used the computer save a single Vampire based RP I was in on a small forum). I told him I would join but if I was active for a year I'd want to be a staff member, he said sure... and he asked my name, because I didn't want him to screw up ZenThazar I told him to name me Zen. So I think that makes me the only current active user created by the ACP (LOL I am Sparkbot's Older brother?).
thedreamcard
This username stuck because it is my Favourite Card Captor Sakura cards and the others I have used didn't seem to fit well with me. Of course if we wanted to go back in time, My first Neopets account was Biyomon39, but I lost my password for it so later on I made bratzgirl282 which I'm locked out of right now. I'm still on Neo as the same user name as here.
RedAgumon
My username came from the first digimon movie I watched it and saw the credits and the big awesome greymon from the first part was RedGreymon, so I thought it would be awesome to make a whole line for him and I use the rookie level RedAgumon as my for X-evo the old digimon board that we all came from and I just continued using it.
⌠XenTec⌡™
Pretty much just popped on the top of my head after about 10 minutes of thinking...
Missy
'Cause it's my nickname that I got freshman year of high school.
Rova
When I first joined up me and my twin brother shared the account and we wanted a name that had twin in it. We also had a mad craze for the Legend of Zelda series at the time so we chose "twinrova". After a while he got his own account and made "Twinmold".

Then Sparkbomb went Boom and we had to remake accounts. I wanted a name change so I went with just "Rova" and my twin went with just "Mold". I remember someone wished we hadn't done that but don't remember who.
R/C
Oh...? Did I never post here? Ah well.

It all started in 2004-5: I signed up on the X-Evolution Forums under the username "RagnarokClimhazzard." Yes, I realize I spelled "hazard" wrong. >.>

Moving on. After the first few times our forums were hacked, and the staff banned and deleted left and right, I re-registered with the username "R/C," an abbreviation of my previous one.

It's not because of the Soda of the same name, or radio-controlled vehicles. BTongue05.png Contrary to popular belief.
Lord Owlstar
The story behind my username is simple, since I came up with it when I was about 8. Owls were my favorite animal. I probably thought stars were cool too. I was very into astronomy at one point. So I combined them to get Owlstar. I was also into knights and the medieval period and that stuff, and I probably thought that adding 'Lord' would make it sound even more impressive. So, lo and behold, "Lord Owlstar" became my standard screen name.
StratusNova
Stratus Xavier Nova
He was my first digimon Rp character.

He specialized in flying and space.

Stratus as in Stratosphere
Xavier for an X
and Nova as in a star burning out.
digital_devotion_101
The story behind the creation of my username is pretty simple.

Back in high school I wrote a 6 book fanfiction series based on Digimon. (Only the first chapter of the first book ever made it onto the Internet.) I decided to call the series “Digital Devotion” because Digimon are digital monsters and I've always been really devoted to them (that and the series was a romance series).

Sometime during the writing of my Digimon fanfiction series, I started using “digital devotion,” or variations of that, for all the different websites I signed up for. For example, my GaiaOnline username is a_digital_devotion. There have been other variations, but I can't remember them.

As for the number at the end of my username here at Sparkbomb, that's added because 101 is my favorite number. Not surprisingly, the number 101 became my favorite number because of Digimon. The numbers 1 and 0 would show up at different times during the show, since the numbers indicate computer data and Digimon are digital monsters. Why 101 specifically? Because it just looks cooler than 111 or 110 or any other 1 and 0 number combination that can be created.

And thus, digital_devotion_101 was created! ^_^
HummingGillz
Humming because I have a secret hobby of singing, haha.

Gillz because I have (or rather, had) gills.
Loki
you had gills? what does that mean?
HummingGillz
I have a set of scars, one on each side of my neck, from a major surgery done on me as a premature newborn.

And they look like gills. Obviously, they don't work. At one point, I'm going to assume they worked.

Because I honestly can't think of any other reason a surgeon would slice the sides of a baby's neck other than to gift them with gills.
CrimsonGallantmon
If anyone has seen the ending of digimon season 3(tamers) then my username should be relatively clear to them.

HummingGillz: MERMAN!
But seriously, that must be cool to have.
HummingGillz
^MerMAID. >:D

I do plan on going back to the hospital I was born in, see if they have my medical file and about the surgery, or something like that, on my 21st birthday.

But regardless. Yes, I have gills. If anyone else can explain why someone would slash a person's neck on both sides if not for gills, then I am seriously all ears. I'd love to hear an explanation of a different purpose.

Ahaha, my gills have been mistaken for hickies and vampire bites before. ^^;
Puck
I think I've told a few people here where my name come from.

Back in my roleplaying days (yearsss ago), I typically only roleplayed male troublemakers, and occasionally a faery. Not the nice, itty bitty kind of faery. More like the troublemaking kind such as Puck from A Midsummer Night's Dream. Though I had never read Shakespeare's play when I came up with the name. It was based on Puck from the show Gargoyles, who was absolutely my favorite character from that show. Puck just seemed befitting for me because it doesn't really hint at gender, it's the name of a trickster (and I adore tricksters), and it's the name of a faery (as girly as that is of me).

I used to be called Peacheh at my first major roleplaying site, but ...this girl adored my roleplaying style and was kind've creepy in that she stalked all of my roleplays and would become very upset and jealous if I roleplayed with anyone other than her. So I left for awhile, and returned as Puck so she wouldn't recognize me, and created a new identity out of that name.
Peyote
My original name was Yote. It's short for coyote, which is an animal I used to identify heavily with (loner, rogue, opportunist). I returned to an old website I used to frequent and found someone else had already registered the name Yote. So I chose Peyote instead, which is a cactus with hallucinogenic properties. At the time I was heavily interested with the botany of hallucinogenics, especially peyote, ayahuasca, etc.
